It's time for a tech tip...why? Because it's Tuesday!
I promised myself I wouldn't gush in this email, but I'm just so darn proud that one of my wife Janet's films--and three of her students' shorts--were admitted to the Seattle Asian American Film Festival. We're headed there this weekend for the screenings, so movies are on my mind today.
The iTunes store offers a wide variety of music, but it is also has a growing collection of videos that can be purchased or rented for viewing on your Mac (or any Apple TV connected device). What's less commonly known is that, each week, iTunes selects two films and releases them as 99 cent rentals. (Normal rental s range from $3 to $7.) Look for them on the iTunes Store movies page. You'll usually find one major motion picture and one indie film or documentary each week. From the time you rent, you will have 30 days to begin watching, and 24 hours to finish after you start viewing.
Enjoy!
