It's time for a tech tip...why? Because it's Tuesday!
Remind (formerly Remind 101) is powerful tool for communicating directly with parents and students. Email is great, of course, but in some situations, text messages can be more efficient.
Remind allows teachers to send text messages without having students' cell phone numbers or revealing their own. Teachers simply sign up for account, name their classes, and then invite students and/or parents to join. Students and parents can decide whether they want to be contacted by text message or email, and you can quickly send a message to your entire class by whatever method they have indicated that they prefer.
Messages can be sent via the Remind website, or the mobile app.
